Eye of Chaos

We get a lot of questions about our Vanguard logo and our Eye of Chaos design. Although our designs have a lot of depth and meaning to us, we love leaving it up to interpretation. It is our hope that the audience takes a moment to truly reflect on what the art could mean and what we are trying to say about our culture and society and how it could be better. Life is getting more complicated and moves faster everyday. Everyone has their own path, responsibilities, battles and perspective. We encourage you to take a moment out of your busy day, take a breath and reflect on how it might apply to you. Check out our designs and think about what we might be trying to say with them.

However it is on this page that we will try our best to give a little insight on what our art means to us and how we’d like to apply it to the world and use our collective to further the principles and morals we believe to be universally important. We appreciate your time and attention.

“There is truth in chaos. The truth is that chaos is unavoidable. We all have moments in our lives when we feel like we are suspended in the unrelenting forces of the universe. We all have moments were it feels like anything we do is only met with adversity and fear of the unknown. And just like the eye of a storm, we are constantly centered in a whirlwind of unpredictability and destruction. That center, in which we find ourselves, we also find calm. We find truth. Truth in our own path and in our own existence. The fact that we are here right now, and that we are truly present even when confronted with chaos. The open eye represents an awakened strength needed to pursue the path of the individual. This is what we at Deciduous want everyone to believe in and to find for themselves. We want everyone to cultivate their own path, find their calm and persevere. We want everyone to find the open eye at the center of the greatest storm in the universe. Find your truth in the center of chaos.”
